Peter Jost
Mr. Jost has spent his professional life with the Airbus program. He joined Deutsche Airbus in Munich as a market analyst in 1969, the year the Airbus program was officially launched. He is known for his sales and marketing expertise.

In 1974 he joined Airbus Industrie in Toulouse as Market Research Manager. In 1985 he moved to the New Product Division where he was responsible for research on airport and airspace congestion problems and the influence of the operating conditions on new product design parameters for the A330 / A340 definition phase. This was ground breaking work.

In 1987 he was named General Manager, Marketing Planning for the Commercial Division of Airbus, and was responsible for the first industry-wide campaign dealing with environmental aspects of civil aviation. In 1995 and 1996 Mr. Jost was named Head of Marketing and Services in Amsterdam for a new 100-seater aircraft family that would have been built by Daimler Benz Aerospace and Fokker. Mr. Jost was subsequently named Head of Marketing and Services in the Future Project Division of Airbus in Hamburg.

In 2001 Mr. Jost became Head of Business Development in Airbus Military SL, where his responsibilities included marketing of the A400M airlifter in Africa. He was instrumental in the campaign which led to South Africa becoming the A400M's first export customer and a program partner.

After 40 years in the aviation industry Mr. Jost retired from Airbus Military in April 2008; since then he acts as Management Advisor to Aerospace related Companies.

Mr. Jost holds a degree in Transportation Economics from the University of Cologne in Germany. Mr. Jost lectures extensively on Aerospace Marketing at Universities and Business Schools. He is fluent in English, French, and German.
