David H. Wasserman
Mr. Wasserman has over 25 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles developing and overseeing corporate finance and financial engineering transactions.

Prior to starting his own financial consulting business in 2004, he spent almost 10 years as Senior Vice President, Finance and Development, at Marubeni Corporation, and then at Sithe Energies, after helping Marubeni acquire a substantial ownership interest in Sithe. In that role he led the development and financing of more than $1.5 billion of electric power generation facilities which were ultimately owned and operated by Marubeni and Sithe. Prior to that Mr. Wasserman was Director of Project Finance and Analysis for a subsidiary of Public Service Electric & Gas and a Vice President in the Energy and Risk Management Departments of Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase.)

Mr. Wasserman has extensive experience in developing financial models and in structuring and negotiating major borrowings in the international and domestic capital markets. In his position at Marubeni/Sithe he directed successful financings for international energy projects for which he not only negotiated the bank and bond financings, but he also negotiated support packages with the export credit agencies and set up sophisticated interest rate and currency hedges with financial institutions to manage the transaction risks. He is also well versed in merger and acquisition work, having led the negotiations leading to Marubeni's acquisition of Sithe Energies and in the restructure and disposition of Sithe assets that did not fit Marubeni's business model.

As an independent consultant he continues to advise clients, both domestic and foreign, on the gamut of financial structuring and financial engineering options available for international power projects.

Mr. Wasserman has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and a MBA in Finance from New York University.

Mr. Wasserman has over 30 years of experience in energy, project finance, and environmental projects. This experience includes time as a staff engineer at Exxon Chemical where he worked on the process design, financial analysis, and strategic planning. His expertise is in structuring complex project financings and negotiating the contracts with the various stakeholders. He has extensive knowledge of cogeneration and how to modify existing facilities to take advantage of this energy saving technology.

Mr. Wasserman has extensive experience in developing financial models and in structuring and negotiating major power generation projects, including hydroelectric and co-generation facilities in the United States and around the world. In his position at Marubeni/Sithe he directed successful financings for international energy projects that required an understanding of environmental regulations, electric rate setting rules, etc. Mr. Wasserman was responsible for structuring the transaction and then negotiating the bank and bond financings, the support packages with the export credit agencies, and sophisticated risk mitigation packages using interest rate and currency hedges, as well as energy swaps.
